SHIKARPUR, April 2: Activists of the Jeay Sindh Mahaz (Zain Shah) observed a token hunger strike at Lakhi Gate tower chowk here on Sunday against demolition of Sindhi and Baloch villages in Karachi and Hyderabad. They included the divisional president, Agha Qamar Mushwani, district president Naseer Ahmed Mangi, Attaullah Pathan and 30 others.

Others including Mour Sanjrani (Wapda labour union), Nadeem Soomro (JSQM), Sami Bilalani (JSQM), Agha Mujeeb Durrani (All Small Traders), Barkat Ali Bhutto (PPP-P) Ubaidullah Abro (advocate), Mazhar Mangrio, Agha Sarfaraz Pathan (councillors unity), Zulfiqar Ali Soomro (Amnesty International) and Shani Soomro (Awami Tehrik) also joined them. Condemning the demolition of old Sindhi and Baloch villages and their colonies in Karachi and Hyderabad by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-led city and district governments, they termed it a conspiracy to uproot the Sindhi and Baloch people from the urban areas and to adjust illegal immigrants.
