HYDERABAD, April 2: Two factory workers died of asphyxia in a paper mill in Site area while three others fainted on Sunday in the jurisdiction of Tando Yousuf police station. According to Tando Yousuf police, Haji Abdul Rehman Khokhar, son of Shaukat Ali, 36, and Ghulam Mustafa, son of Abdul Rehman, 26, were working in a chemical tank when they fainted.

Three others, Khursheed, Ghulam Qadir and Abdul Khaliq jumped into the tank to rescue them.

Abdul Rehman died in the tank while Ghulam Mustafa died in hospital.

Police believed that they died due to suffocation as the water is used for some chemical reaction on paper which had some poisonous contents as well.

Three factory workers were shifted to hospital.
