RAWALPINDI: The divisional administration on Saturday asked the district administrations and police of Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal and Jhelum to prepare a comprehensive security and traffic management plan for Eid Miladun Nabi (peace be upon him) on Tuesday.

Commissioner Aamir Khattak along with RPO Babar Sarfraz Alpa chaired a meeting of the Divisional Peace Committee. Members of the committee, representatives of Anjuman Tajiran and officials of relevant departments attended the meeting.

The commissioner said instructions have been issued to relevant institutions for making best arrangements for Eid Miladun Nabi.

Religious scholars have always promoted tolerance. He said that as always the religious scholars should play a role in maintaining the atmosphere of brotherhood on the occasion.

Under the supervision of the deputy commissioners, Seeratul Nabi (peace be upon him) conferences will be held in every district. Religious scholars should participate in these conferences which will send a message of unity. He said no gap will be tolerated in administrative and security matters.

At the tehsil level, the assistant commissioner should call a meeting of the peace committee and review the administrative and security arrangements.

The commissioner directed that wherever construction work was going on the routes of processions, it should be completed immediately.

The RPO said the police had created a foolproof security plan for the religious festival and started implementing it. Police officers and personnel will be deployed across the region on the designated routes of the processions.

Members of the Divisional Peace Committee expressed satisfaction over the security and administrative measures.
