SAHIWAL: Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Judge Asif Bashir sentenced a retired police sub-inspector to two years in prison for accepting Rs10,000 bribe.

Convict Rana Munir Ahmed was sent to Sahiwal Central Prison after the verdict.

Ahmed was caught red-handed by the ACE team on April 21, 2021, while accepting a bribe from Mubashir Farid at the City Police Station, Pakpattan. Farid alleged that Munir extorted money to ensure an impartial investigation.
