MIRPURKHAS: A man and his 10-year-old daughter were killed and five other persons were injured when a speeding car hit a motorcycle and plunged into a roadside ditch along the Sanghar-Jhol road near Sanghar city on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Ismail Bhatti but the name of his daughter could not be ascertained. The injured, Qamarun Nisa, Sanwal Marri, Amir Marri and two unknown men were transported to the Sanghar Civil Hospital for treatment.

Police said that the car driver lost control of the vehicle after it hit the motorcycle.
