Asif on goal rampage

LAHORE, March 30: Six goals by Asif Tiwana helped Candyland win both its matches of two chukkers each in the 2-6 Goals Polo tournament on Thursday. Asif struck four goals to steer Candyland to victory against Guard Filters/Garden Gas 4 1/2-2. The winners had half-goal handicap.

For the losers, Ahmed Zubair and Taimur Ali Malik scored one goal each.

Asif scored two goals against Friends as Candyland won 4-2.

Azam Hayat Noon scored the remaining two goals.

For the losers, Sufi Mohammad Aamir and Sufi Mohammad Haris struck a goal each.

Guard Filters/ Garden Gas, however, defeated Friends by 7 - ½

Taimur Ali Malik scored four goals while Atif Tiwana, Zeeshan Asaf and Ahmed Zubair added a goal each. The losers could not add any goal to their half goal handicap.
