BAHAWALPUR: Nine suspects allegedly abducted a woman at gunpoint and gang-raped her in the limits of Basti Malook police station in Lodhran district.

According to police sources, the four nominated suspects, along with their five unidentified accomplices barged in when the victim ‘F’ was alone in her house.

The FIR says the suspects allegedly abducted ‘F’ at gun point and gang-raped her at different places.

The suspects also tortured her, gave her electric shocks and made a video of the incident, as per the FIR.

On F’s complaint, Basti Malook police registered an FIR against the nine suspects has been registered, while the police sent the victim to hospital for her medical examination.

FIRE: A couple and their child suffered serious burns in a fire erupting in their house due to gas leakage from a cylinder at Ghaziwala village in Shujabad Tehsil.

According to Rescue 1122 officials, Waseem, his wife Samina and their two-year-old son Husnain were in the kitchen of their house when a fire broke out because of leakage of a gas cylinder being used for cooking.

As a result the parents and their child suffered severe burns and were shifted to the Shujabad THQ Hospital, where they were stated to be in a serious condition.

TODDLER DROWNS: An toddler drowned in a canal at 35/M pull Bazari at Dunyapur in Lodhran district on Sunday.

According to Rescuers 1122, two-year-old Ali Akbar was playing on the canal bank when he fell into the water and drowned.

When the Rescue 1122 divers reached the spot on an emergency call, the locals had already retrieved the body.
