ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) on Wednesday approved for K-Electric the provisional Fuel Charge Adjustments (FCA) for the months of May and June at Rs2.59 and Rs3.16 per kWh, respectively.

These charges are not being applied on customers’ bills in any one month but are being spread over two months.

The FCA for the month of May will be reflected in the October bills, while charges for June will be billed in November.

The fuel charge adjustments are incurred by power utilities due to global variations in fuel prices and changes in the generation mix.
