KARACHI, March 28: An unbeaten century by Pakistan under-19 batsman Ali Asad guided Navy to a crushing victory in the DHA Trophy KCCA Inter-departmental cricket tournament on Monday. Ali smashed 102 with the aid of 13 boundaries as Navy thrashed UBL Karachi by nine wickets at the UBL Sports Complex.

Batting first, UBL Karachi were all out for 203 in 44.5 overs. Tariq Rasheed hit six fours in making 75.

Navy reached their target for the loss of just one wicket in the 38th over. Owais Ahmed Rahmani also shone by striking an unbeaten 64 with six fours.

Meanwhile, KESC eased into the semifinals with a six-wicket defeat of Dewan Farooq Motors at the KCCA Stadium.
