SARGODHA: Anjuman Aarhthiyan of Grain Market has announced a three-day strike from Wendnesday (today) to protest against anti-trader policies, including the imposition of withholding tax.

The grain market, mills, and local businesses will remain closed from July 31 to Aug 2.

The traders association said the grain market, all pulse mills, and related businesses in Ghala Mandi will be completely shut down during this period.

They demanded the government withdraw what they described as “cruel taxes” by Aug 2. If their demands are not met, they plan to announce the next course of action on Aug 6.

ELECTROCUTED: A six-year-old child and a motorcyclist were electrocuted on Tuesday.

Their bodies were handed over to their grieving families. Sheikh Muhammad Asif Kapur, trader from Block 29, was riding his motorcycle on Farooq Azam Road when he was electrocuted.
