Palestinian journalist Bayan has said there has been an “endless number of testimonies” in past years over Israelis allegedly “sexually assaulting Palestinians”.
Her statement comes after it emerged that Israeli soldiers were being held in a case of suspected abuse of a Palestinian detainee at a facility holding Gazans detained during the ongoing conflict.
“You’re shocked Israelis are raping Palestinian hostages. I am shocked you’re just learning that,” Bayan said in a post on X.
“Israelis have been sexually assaulting Palestinians for the past 76 years. There’s an endless number of testimonies that’s been submitted over the years, but Israel’s above the law,” she added.
