KARACHI, March 24: The founder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain, has said that the MQM is taking steps for the wellbeing of masses since the day of its founding.

He was talking to members of MQM’s Coordination Committee in Pakistan and London and other party supports, who called on him in London on Thursday, to celebrate MQM’s 22nd founding day, said a statement issued by the MQM here on Friday.

He said that the objective of the MQM is to endeavour for welfare of masses and with the same goal, party has taken this task as a divine duty.

Altaf also urged the countrymen to use their right of franchise in the next general elections to elect devoted and honest candidates.

Dr Imran Farooq, Tariq Javed, Anwer Alam, and Abdul Haseeb were also present.—APP
