KARACHI: Policemen remanded

KARACHI, March 24: Three policemen were on Friday remanded to police custody for interrogation in the March 20 incident in Taimuria police station limits where one, Feroz, and his sister, Sabia, were killed in firing by police on their car.

Feroz’s brother Bhoula and daughter Ifsana were injured in the shooting.

Judicial Magistrate, South, Mohammed Amir Awan, gave head-constables Shaukat and Liaqat, and driver of the police mobile van involved, Sheharyar, to police remand till March 29.

The family was on way back home in Malir from Imambargah Zainul Abedin in their car when the police team riding a Madadgar 15 van opened fire at the vehicle.
