KASUR, March 23: The students of MA English, Islamiyat and Political Science had to send their admission as private students with double fee as the administration of the Government Degree College for Women failed to get affiliation with the Punjab University.

According to sources, the college launched postgraduate programme in three subjects last year and 170 girls got admission and paid full dues as regular students including university registration fee.

The angry students on Wednesday sent their admission forms as it was the last date with double fee for submission. However, deserving 30 students were given a financial aid up to Rs1,000 from the college fund.

The students, their parents and social circles have urged the governor, chief minister and authorities concerned to take a serious notice of the issue and save the future of students.
