GWADAR: A senior government official, his wife and two other members of his family were killed in a head-on collision between his car and a truck near Ormara area of Gwadar district, on Monday.

Officials said Aman­ullah, superintendent engineer of the public health department’s Makran circle, was on his way to Karachi from Gwadar along with family. However, when he reached near Ormara, a fast-moving truck from the opposite side hit the car head on. “The official, his wife and two other relatives were killed on the spot in the incident,” police said, adding that the bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital.

After medico-legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to the family. The deceased women were later identified as Alyia Amanullah, Saeeda and Habiba.
