Theft case against SI

BAHAWALPUR, March 22: Police registered on Wednesday a car theft case against a sub-inspector after recovering the stolen vehicle from the accused here. According to sources, the stolen car (BRJ-72) belonging to Ejaz Channar, brother of PML-N MPA Malik Iqbal Channar, was allegedly recovered from SI Muhammad Makki of Cantonment police.

On receipt of information, DPO Arif Nawaz suspended the accused SI, appointing ASP capt Asim as inquiry officer.

The SI claimed that he found the car abandoned near Bhutta colonies.
