Japanese students visit Skardu

SKARDU, March 22: A group of students from various universities of Japan, led by Mr Toshiba Okasaki, visited the Boys Degree College here on Monday and met the teaching staff and students. The team, which arrived here last week for a cultural and historical tour of Baltistan, exchanged views with the students on educational standard and promotion of education in Baltistan.

College principal Ghulam Hassan apprised the delegation about the educational progra-mmes of the college and non-curricular activities. Later, the delegation planted saplings within the college premises.

The delegation during its stay in Baltistan will visit different villages and towns and conduct research on traditions, culture, language, history, literature and customs of Baltistan.
