LARKANA: Transmission of Radio Pakistan, Larkana station, remains off the air for two days as electricity connection to the Pakistan Broadcasting House has been cut over non-payment of outstanding dues, according to sources.

The sources told this reporter on Thursday that Station Director Syed Abid Abbas Kazmi informed Director Programmes, PBC Headquarters Islamabad, through a letter on July 3 about the situation. The broadcasts had been suspended since then. The total dues came to Rs940,000, said the sources.

No payments had been made for 10 and four months, respectively, for the two power supply lines, and the department concerned had been informed about it through two communications sent on June 13, and July 3, said the sources.
