QUETTA: A World Bank delegation met Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Safaraz Bugti on Wednesday to discuss the ongoing 10-year development programme and the progress of work on it.

The meeting also discussed progress on ongoing support projects in the province, specifically in the mines and mineral, fisheries, and agriculture sectors, as well as rehabilitation projects initiated in the flood-affected areas.

CM Bugti highlighted initiatives to address challenges in good governance, energy, and climate change, noting that the 2022 super floods had severely impacted many districts in the province due to climate change.

The World Bank delegation, led by Director Naji Bib Hassine, appreciated the chief minister’s efforts in establishing good governance in Balochistan and expressed their commitment to supporting international and national investors in various sectors in the province.
