MUZAFFARGARH: A man was electrocuted when he touched the solar panel wires to run the tubewell at Chak 523, Noor Shah Tali, in the Kot Addu area on Tuesday.

It was the second incident of death with solar panels in the district in recent days.

Eyewitnesses said 40-year-old Muhammed Tanvir, son of Elahi Bakhsh, was connecting the wires of the solar system to run the tubewell when he received electric shocks and fainted.

The people contacted the rescue officials who performed CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) but could not restore Tanvir’s breathing.

Dawn learnt that the villagers did not know about its electricity in the solar power system, thinking that it was not have the electricity that they were getting through poles and transmission wires.
