KARACHI: Bodies of a missing woman and her two children were found in a drain close to their home in Sher Muhammad Village within the remit of the Mauripur police station on Saturday evening, police said.

They said that the victims were identified as Ruqayya Irfan, 25, her six-year-old daughter, Fatima, and two-year-old son, Adnan.

The bodies were taken to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi for a post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of their death.

DIG-South Syed Asad Raza said that the woman and her children had gone missing from their home around two days ago.

Their relatives had also lodged a report with the police regarding their disappearance, he added.
