THATTA, March 21: People’s Party Parliamentarians MPA Humera Alwani has alleged that DCO Mohammad Usman Panhwar is obstructing release of funds for ongoing development schemes in areas of Mirpur Sakro, Keti Bunder and Kharochhan being carried out under MPA’s funds.

In a press release issued here on Tuesday, she termed it political victimization and said she would raise the issue in the assembly.

Ex-SHO booked: Police on Monday booked a former SHO of Thatta, Javed Lakhair, for allegedly keeping a peasant in wrongful confinement.

Mohammad Ali Rais of Faqir-Jo-Goth had submitted an application with the district and sessions judge in which he had stated that SHO Javed Lakhair had picked up his son, Hamid Rais, in the first week of February and kept him at the police station without any no reason.

On Feb 22, civil judge Jehangir Khan, on orders of district and sessions judge Abdul Malik Gaddi, raided the police lockup and recovered Hamid Rais.
