ATLANTIC CITY (New Jersey), March 19: Hasim Rahman retained his World Boxing Council heavyweight title by fighting to a 12-round majority draw with James Toney here on Saturday. The three judges scored the fight 117-111, 114-114, 114-114.

Rahman raised his record to 41-5-2, 33 KOs while Toney fell to 69-4-3, 43 KOs.

Rahman outworked Toney and landed the harder punches.—AFP
