LARKANA: Mystery shrouded murder of a teenage labourer who was found dead in his house in Murad Wahan locality in the jurisdiction of Dari police station late on Tuesday night as police were still groping in the dark about the possible motive behind the killing.

Police found no clue to the unknown killer’s motive after preliminary investigations and information gathered from heirs and relatives of the victim whose body had been shifted to Chandka Medical College Hospital.

Taj Mangrio, a close relative of the victim, said that the unknown killer had sneaked into the house when the victim was sleeping, fired a single shot to his temple and escaped. “We have no enmity with anyone,” he said and appealed to DIG and SSP of Larkana to arrest the killers.

SSP Dr Mir Rohal Khan Khoso sought initial reports from the area’s DSP and SHO of Dari police station as investigations were under way to reach the suspected killer.

He ruled out the possibility of robbery or botched theft attempt and believed police would track down the criminal within no time. No FIR has been registered so far.

In another incident, Faraz Joyo, 10, was allegedly killed in Luhar Colony in the jurisdiction of Haidri police station late on Tuesday night.

The victim’s father Aijaz Joyo alleged that their neighbourer Jawad Ali Korai had issued him threats of dire consequences after a verbal clash over a minor issue involving their children a few days back.

Umar Joyo, grandfather of the victim, registered an FIR at Haidri police against Jawad Korai, Hidayatullah Korai, Farhan Korai and an unknown person, accusing them of murdering his grandson. Police arrested Hidayatullah while raids were being conducted to nab the remaining suspects, said the officials.
