Army and Wapda share honours

ISLAMABAD, Mar 17: Army and Wapda won two gold medals each on the opening day of first national taekwondo championship at Hamidi Hall, Pakistan Sports Complex, on Friday.

Shehzad and Kiran Bano captured gold medals for Army in men’s and women’s finweight.

Wapda’s Faheem Fawad Butt clinched gold medal in men’s flyweight while Samia snatched gold for them in girls flyweight category.

The teams taking part in the championship, which will conclude on Sunday, are the four provinces, Army, Navy, Wapda, Railways and Police.—APP
