GUJRAT, March 17: Anti-Narcotics Force’s Rawalpindi officials have started collecting information about the assets of an alleged international drug trafficker. Sources told Dawn on Friday Siddique Dhola of Kharian tehsil was wanted by the Interpol and the ANF in a number of cases.
They said Dhola was either British or European nationality holder, and the interior ministry had directed the ANF last year to collect his assets’ details.
The ANF wrote a letter to Lalamusa municipality officials with a request to provide them with his assets’ details, but they did not provide any information. Upon it, some ANF officials visited the Lalamusa municipality and asked the chief officer to give them details of the assets of Dhola if any.
The chief officer told them that the municipality record did not have any details about him and suggested them to visit the excise and taxation office for the purpose. He also refused to give his reply in black and white.
The sources said the wanted drug peddler had three property units in camping ground and along GT Road in Lalamusa and nobody could make constructions there without the approval of maps from the municipality.
Siddique Dhola is the uncle of Yasir Dhola and a close relative of Muzammal Dhola, the nominated accused in the murder case of ex-MNA Syed Manzoor Husain Shah.
