OKARA, March 16: Defence Minister Rao Sikandar Iqbal says that President Musharraf should continue to head the country for the completion of ongoing development projects.

He was speaking at a public meeting on Thursday afternoon at Jinnah Park on the eve of foundation stone lying of Sikandar Railway underpass which will cost Rs 50 million.

He said negative politics of the opposition was a threat to the present democratic setup and “I support the uniform issue for the next five years.”

District Naib Nazim Rao Atif Sikandar, tehsil Nazim Rao Jamil Akhtar and railways divisional engineer Muhammad Irfanul Haq also spoke on the occasion and said the project would ease traffic flow around the district courts and GT Road.
