KARACHI, March 16: Six ships carrying palm oil, vehicles and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Five ships, Y.M. Sun, Kota Waruna, Marcala Baria, to unload and load containers and Bellatrix-ID to offload and load general cargo were berthed.

Sailing on the other hand was brisk as eight vessels, PAC Antlia, Al-Rahim, Barge Spata-1, APL Jeddah, Pelagos, Stolt Alliance, Regent Park and Global Prosperity departed, while Aquadance, Bellatrix-ID, Shalamar, Aniwa, Golden Express, Y.M. Sun, Kota Waruna and Eax Sanctity are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.143m tons comprising 32,044 tons of export cargo and 0.111m tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Olympic, with 8,500 tons of palm oil, Orient Independence, Maersk Alabama, with containers, European Highway, with 451 vehicles, New Vega and Regine, with project cargo.
