Four convicted in separate cases

MULTAN, March 15: Local courts on Wednesday convicted four accused in different cases of illegal arms, theft and narcotics. Civil Judge Muhammad Ilyas sentenced accused Manzoor Husainto overall 10-month jail with over Rs10,000 fine in a theft caseregistered against him by Gulgasht police. Senior Civil Judge Nazar Husain Khokhar sentenced accused Imran Khan to six-month jail with Rs1,000 fine on recovery of 32-bore pistol and another accused Shahid Ali to one-month jail with Rs500 fine on recovery of a 30-bore pistol. Both were arrested by Chelyak police in July 2005. The same court sentenced another accused Ishtiaq to six-month jail with Rs1,000 fine on recovery of heroin from him in September last year. —APP
