LAHORE: The police recovered bodies of a man and his minor son from a hotel room in Naulakha area late on Tuesday.

They were identified as Danish Ali and his minor son Ayan. The police said that Danish’s body was hanging from a ceiling fan of the room he had taken on rent some days back while his son was lying dead on the bed.

The police were alerted by the hotel management when it found the door locked from inside for many hours.

No one from the inside responded despite knocking it many times by the waiter and other staff members, according to the police.

A police official said it seemed the man first killed his son and then ended his life by hanging himself from the ceiling fan of the hotel room.

He said he might have taken the extreme step following some domestic issues or financial matters. The bodies have been shifted to the city morgue for autopsy and further investigations are under way, he said.
