KHYBER: The district administration sealed at least nine illegally established filling stations in different parts of Jamrud on Tuesday.

A statement issued from Khyber House said that the assistant commissioner of Jamrud, Dr Aamerzeb, along with assistant director industries and other relevant officials conducted raids at a number of illegally established mini-patrol pumps and found at least nine of them operating without registration and getting ‘no objection certificate’ from the relevant government department.

The raiding party also examined existing fuel stock, fuel gauge, rates and quality of fuel at the filling stations.

The statement said that legal action would be initiated against the people, who violated rules and regulations of establishing a filling station and selling substandard patrol and diesel. Such filling stations are mostly established in congested residential areas.
