PESHAWAR: A police official was martyred in Tank district and another was injured in Khyber district in militant attacks on Monday.

The police said constable Usman was fatally attacked by unknown militants in the Tank Bazaar.

A police team reached the spot and started a search operation in the area to trace the assailants.

Meanwhile, a constable, identified as Zafar, was shot at and injured by unknown motorcyclists in Alam Godar area of Bara.

The injured constable was rushed to Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar, where his condition was stated to be stable.

District police officer Saleem Abbas said police had initiated a search to arrest the attackers.
