KARACHI, March 14: A nine-year-old boy was killed in an accident on Mauripur Road on Tuesday. Police said Noor Muhammad, resident of Muhammadi Colony, was reportedly crossing the main Mauripur Road when a speeding lorry knocked him down. The boy died on the spot.
Following the incident, area people blocked Mauripur Road to register their protest. However, after negotiations with police, enraged protestors agreed to disperse. In the meantime, police arrested the driver identified as Javed and seized the vehicle.
