KARACHI: Tremors of a minor earthquake were felt in parts of Karachi, including Malir district, Gadap town, Kathore and adjoining areas, on Thursday evening at 5.52pm.

The recorded intensity of the earthquake was 2.3 magnitude. No loss of life or property was reported.

According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the earthquake had a depth of 84km while its epicenter was located northeast of Malir.

This is the second time in eight days that a minor earthquake has been reported in and around Malir district.

The intensity of the April 24 earthquake was of 3.2 magnitude and it was located at a depth of 12km. Its epicenter was near Malir.
