TOBA TEK SINGH, March 11: Police claimed on Saturday to have arrested the killer of six dear ones, including father and two brothers. District Police Officer Akhtar Laleka told journalists that the culprit, Noor Ahmad, was arrested within 24 hours of the incident in Faisalabad where he had hidden himself in the room of a colleague. He works in a mill.

He said the suspect killed his father, brothers, two nephews and as many nieces and it was strange that he escaped scores of villagers who had gathered outside his brother’s house.

He said plainclothes men got a clue and arrested the suspect in Faisalabad.

The arrested man, who did not express any remorse or feel ruffled, insisted during the course of investigation that he was being maltreated by the family and singled out by the father as an insolent man.
