HYDERABAD, Feb 3: The deputy election commissioner, Hyderabad division, has issued the by-elections programme for Naib Nazim of union council-5, Bhaledino Kaka, taluka Hala, and for Nazims of UC-4, Lawari Sharif, taluka Badin, and UC-6, Pingrio, taluka Tando Bago.

The elections for these posts are scheduled to be held on March 16.

The judicial magistrate of Hala will be the returning officer for UC-5, taluka Hala, while the second additional district and sessions judge, Badin, and civil judge and FCM, Tando Bago, will be the returning officers for taluka Badin and taluka Tando Bago respectively.

The notice inviting nomination papers will be issued by the returning officers on Feb 11 and the nomination papers will be filed from Feb 13 to 15.

The notice of the nomination papers will be issued on Feb 16 and objections on the nomination papers by the voters can be filed on Feb 18.

The scrutiny of the nomination papers and publication of the names of validly nominated candidates will be done on Feb 19 and 20.

Appeals against acceptance or rejections of the nomination papers can be filed on Feb 27 and 28 which will be disposed of on or before March 2.

The date of withdrawal of candidature has been fixed at March 4.

The list of the contesting candidates with symbols will be made public on March 5 while the elections will be held on March 16.
