Inter-club hockey

LAHORE, March 10: MAO College Old Boys, Lahore, will meet Pak PWD, Karachi, while Gojra Sports, Gojra, clash with Mitchell Club, Okara, in semifinals of the national Inter-club hockey championship at the National Hockey Stadium on Saturday.

The final will be held on Sunday.

Winner will get Rs100,000, 1st runners-up will get Rs50,000 while 2nd runners-up will get Rs30,000, Punjab Hockey Association (PHA) secretary and former Olympian Navid Alam said.

The PHA is organising the tournament in which 16 clubs from across the country are taking part.

The Man-of-the-Final, best goalkeeper and best player of the tournament would receive Rs50,000 each, he said.
