Pakistan rout Maldives

ISLAMABAD, March 10: Pakistan volleyball team scored their second consecutive victory on Friday with a straight sets defeat to Maldives in the Asian Central Zone Championship in Colombo.

Azam Dar, a spokesman for the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) said that the national spikers notched up a 25-15, 25-18, 25-16 win with skipper Mohammad Zaman, Zaheer Abbas and Naseer Ahmed doing well.

Pakistan had started off by beating arch-rivals India in the opening match.

The team is now due to play Kazakhstan on Saturday.
