TOBA TEK SINGH, March 10: The Gojra city police arrested on Friday a convict who was handed down 172 years rigorous imprisonment by different courts in 43 cases after three years.
Convict Shahid of Shah Alam Colony had escaped from police custody when he was being brought to Gojra for hearing of a dacoity case against him.
Five policemen were sacked on the charge of negligence due to which a convict had absconded.
According to police, the convict came to Gojra to see a friend from where he was arrested.
