KARACHI, March 10: Three ships carrying containers and chemicals were berthed at

QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release.

Meanwhile, another ship with coal also anchored at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 78 per cent as eight ships were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, wheat, diesel oil and chemicals.

A cargo volume of 54,318 tons comprising 28,338 tons of import and 25,980 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were brisk as Mare Lycium, Al-Wajba, Mar Riana, Bulk Seahawk, Warbah and Al-Marwah left the port while Maya was due to depart.

Five ships, Silver One,

China Star, Bunga Melati Satu, Might Michales and Giovanni Dellia were awaiting their berthing turn at the outer anchorage.
