LAHORE: The Punjab Police has accelerated action to eradicate narcotics across the province and intensified the intelligence-based operations against drug dealers.

During the last 24 hours, police conducted 871 raids on the hideouts of the drug dealers, arrested 512 accused and registered 511 cases against the anti-social elements involved in the drug business.

Police also recovered 389kg hashish, two-and-a-half kg ice, 11kg heroin, 21kg opium and 5,055 litres of liquor from the possession of the suspects.
