TAXILA: Chairman District Monitoring Committee and Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Sher Ali Khan has directed authorities concerned to ensure transparent use of funds and complete development projects on time and according to the set standards.

He expressed these views while reviewing an ongoing road construction project in Hammak village near Fatehjang on Tuesday.

The chief minister has constituted district monitoring committees across the province to supervise and ensure public service delivery in their respective districts. The committees shall hold regular reviews and submit its reports to the chief minister. The deputy commissioner Attock shall coordinate with the committee and provide secretariat support.

The MPA added that effective steps should be taken to complete all development projects on time and quality should be ensured. He said that the government would not let the cost go beyond the fixed limit by controlling expenditures. He instructed the officers to take the local community on board about development projects in their areas and work with their cooperation.

Mr Ali said, “I will try my best to provide best civic facilities to all rural areas of Attock and make every possible effort to fulfill their aspirations.”

Later, he along with officials of the local administration, health and building departments visited Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Fatehjang to review work on construction of a new block. He spoke to patients and their attendants about the facilities available to them.

Later, Mr Ali presided over a meeting to review the Nigahban package, Ramazan bazaars and Clean Punjab project at the office of assistant commissioner Fatehjang.

The assistant commissioner, Inza Abbasi, gave a briefing to the MPA.
