PESHAWAR: Ex-EDO booked

NAWABSHAH, March 8: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has lodged an FIR against former executive district officer (education) for allegedly embezzling Rs25 million.

Circle officer ACE, Aijaz Abbasi, told Dawn on Tuesday that Mohammad Hassan Mahar, in collusion with his staff, misappropriated SMC funds and scholarships, and made fake appointments and difference bills to embezzle about Rs25 million.

The FIR had been registered against the EDO, ADOs concerned and DEOs whose names would be made available after completion of inq-uiry.
