KOHAT: The cantonment police on Saturday arrested six persons for assaulting a boy for days and threatening to upload the immoral act on the social media if he dared disclose the matter to anyone.

Cantonment SHO Jabir Khan told Dawn that he had received a complaint from the father of the 13-year-old victim belonging to Meri Colony.

He quoted the complainant as saying that his son was continuously assaulted after being taken away by the members of a six-member gang.

SHO Jabir said that the police raided several places and arrested the culprits, including their leader, Irfan.

He said that they also seized the mobile phone of Irfan, which contained the immoral videos. He said his other arrested accomplices included Farhan, Afaq, Rehan, Yasir and Shahid.

He said that all the accused had been booked under sections 53 and 48 of the Child Protection Act, and 377 of Pakistan Penal Code.
