LAHORE: A special court for anti-corruption on Saturday extended the pre-arrest bail of PTI President Parvez Elahi’s wife Qaisera Elahi, son Rasikh Elahi and daughter in-law Zara Elahi in the Rawalpindi Ring Road corruption case.

All the suspects appeared before the court on expiry of their bail.

On the order of judge Safdar Ali Bhatti, the investigating officer completed the investigation of the suspects in the courtroom.

Later, the judge extended the pre-arrest bail of the suspects till March 22.

The ACE alleged that Mr Elahi had approved the ring road extension project to benefit the land owned by his family.

Separately, judge Bhatti also extended the pre-arrest bail of Lahore Development Authority’s former director general Amir Ahmad Khan in a case of irregularities in the master plan of the provincial capital.

The judge allowed the investigating officer to interrogate the suspect in the courtroom to complete his investigation.

The judge extended the bail till March 22.

The LDA’s former DG is a co-suspect of former chief minister Parvez Elahi and others in the master plan corruption case.
