RAWALPINDI: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi caught three students red-handed while cheating in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examination and registered an unfair means case against them.

BISE spokesman Arslan Cheema said Inspector Akhter Shah during a visit to Doordar Attock examination centre caught the students and got a case registered against them.

He said BISE Chairman Adnan Khan and controller examinations Prof Sajid Mahmood Farooqui visited various examination centres in Rawalpindi.

The chairman visited Government Muslim Higher Secondary School No 1, Government Municipal Corporation Girls High School Satellite Town, Government Municipal Corporation Boys High School Satellite Town, Madressah Milli Islamia High School, KIPS College 6th Road, Anglo-Arabic Public High School Sadiqabad Rawalpindi and others.

The chairman checked the presence of resident inspector/superintendent/deputy superintendent and invigilators of each examination centre and issued instructions to the staff to strictly implement the SOPs. No negligence will be tolerated.

“If anyone is found violating the SOPs, disciplinary action will be taken besides registration of an FIR against him.

The education department is determined to eliminate the menace of cheating in the SSC exam with a strict and solid strategy,” he said.

He said Section 144 had been imposed around examination centres and if anyone is found violating the law he will be handed over to police.
