RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has issued show-cause notices to the owners of four illegal/unapproved housing schemes.

The illegal schemes include Mian Mohammad Bakhsh City located in Mouza Raniyal, Gulsahn-e-Bahar in Mouza Pilo, Islamabad Golf City in Mouza Thalian Pilo, Silver City Prime in Mouza Jattal in Tehsil, and District Rawalpindi for illegally marketing and booking of plots through print and electronic media, an RDA spokesperson said.

He said that these illegal housing schemes are encouraging the public to buy plots fraudulently in the name of the RDA and are stealing their life-earned deposits, due to which the RDA has issued a show cause notice.

The spokesperson further noted that the RDA director general has taken notice and warned the public to avoid falling prey to any illegal housing society.

The sponsors and developers of this scheme are illegally advertising their housing schemes and offering to sell plots without obtaining approval from the RDA, which is a violation of Rule 46(1) of the Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Scheme Rules 2021.
