A session of the Balochistan Assembly (BA) has started, where the election for the chief minister is expected to take place.
Former caretaker interior minister Sarfraz Bugti, who joined the PPP in December, has been elected unopposed after no other candidate filed nomination papers till the deadline.
The official announcement of Bugti’s election as the leader of the house will be made during the assembly session today. Newly elected BA Speaker Abdul Khaliq Achakzai is chairing the session.
