PTI Senator Faisal Javed has said the country “cannot progress until we do away with the trust deficit in the government”.

In a post on X, Javed said, “[The] people of Pakistan have bestowed upon a huge trust on Imran Khan via their votes on Feb 8. This really is a great opportunity for Pakistan to capitalise on it by giving respect to the mandate and take the country forward.”

In a video he shared of him speaking in the Senate, Javed said, “The biggest deficit, the eradication of which is very necessary, is a trust deficit. The end of the trust deficit between the leaders and the nation is the most important thing and this they (public) showed on February 8.

“They (public) said ‘Yes, we trust this leader’,” he added.
