4-year plan presented to Erra

MUZAFFARABAD, March 4: The Department of Public Works and Communications (DPWC) of Azad Kashmir government has presented a four-year comprehensive plan to ERRA for repair and reconstruction of roads and bridges destroyed in the earthquake. The work will be completed by 2009.

More than Rs seven billion will be utilised under the plan for the reconstruction of the destroyed roads and bridges and the remaining amount, for the construction of buildings and sewerage systems, restoring of the other water supply schemes as well as reconstruction of other properties.

According to sources, this Rs11bn plan of includes all the schemes for reconstruction of properties destroyed by the quake in Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Poonch and Neelam districts. —Online
